Thank heavens, we still remain very much in the hunt for the title with few games left to play. First of all, Real Madrid finally put their mini winless run to bed. What a showing by the group, showed why they are the champions by giving it their all right till the end.

When the starting XI was published, many Madridistas got excited to see the 4-2-3-1 formation in effect, especially with Eden Hazard deployed in a central role rather than on the left wing.

Los Blancos started the game on the front foot, especially Hazard who looked really decent and didn't look shy. To be fair, he looked sharp throughout the time he played. Zidane's men really were dominant and could have scored at least 2 goals. However, as luck would have it we seemed to went up against prime Neuer (what a game by the Osasuna goalkeeper).

In the second half, apart from bringing on Nacho for Varane, Zidane decided to stick with his team. The real turning point came in the 64 minute though when Rodrygo and Miguel Gutierrez came for Rodrygo and Marcelo respectively. Both of them had very bright cameos. Isco's introduction was probably the most pivotal though, even if he hasn't played well this season, he honestly bossed the midfield when he came on today. It was his corner kick delivery which met the head of Eder Militao.

Speaking of Militao, put some respect on his name. What a game he had man, solid as a rock defensively, immense offensively. Would have had at least two goals to his name if it weren't for two jaw dropping saves by Sergio Herrera. What a massive month he's had, what a mad turnaround it has been for his Real Madrid career. It wouldn't be unfair to say that it is he who helped Zidane's side stay in contention for the league title with his performance and most importantly his goal today. If we end up winning the league, he has to get massive credit.

What a season it has been man, crazy to think that we are still in contention to win the double this season with all that's been thrown at us!
